HURONIA WIRE WHEEL CHAPTER-Tottenham, Ontario

WELCOME to the website of Huronia Wire Wheel, a chapter of Model A Owners of Canada Inc. (modelaowners.com). We are an active car club of Model "A" Ford enthusiasts dedicated to the preservation, restoration and driving enjoyment of these automobiles.  We meet monthly (with some exceptions) in Tottenham, Ontario.  Our meetings include tech talks, seminars, and general topic guest speakers. Women play an active role in this chapter and are encouraged to attend.

                             IN PERSON CLUB MEETINGS and MEMBERSHIP

To be a member of the Huronia Wire Wheel Chapter,  you must also be a member of the Model A Owners of Canada (MAOC). Information regarding MAOC membership can be found at www.modelaowners.com.  Cost of membership for Huronia Wire Wheel Chapter is $10.00/year for e-mailed newsletters and $15.00/year for mailed newsletters.  You may purchase your chapter membership at any in-person meeting, or by contacting us via this website.

Club meetings take place at 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of the month from September to May (with the exception of December and February) at Rich Hill Church, 1276 10th Side Rd, New Tecumseth, Ontario. 2025/2026 meeting dates are listed below.  Special luncheons are held during the months of  December and February so there are no formal meetings during those two months. We also do not have meetings in June, July or August.  Instead, we meet at various locations for ice cream and social time.

HURONIA WIRE WHEEL CHAPTER HISTORY

In the Fall of 1998, the Model A Owners of Canada had two Chapters, the Southern Ontario Chapter and the newly formed Trillium Chapter. A group of Model A owners around the Tottenham area said “Why not us?”

On Wednesday, November 4th, 37 Model A Owners met in the Tottenham United Church to determine if a new Chapter was possible. A positive response led us to apply for Chapter status with not yet a name for the proposed Chapter. Several names were proposed and votes were solicited by ballot. A write-in suggestion of Huronia Wire Wheel Chapter was selected. It told where we are and who we are. An executive was chosen for the coming year. President Jim Campbell; Vice President, Carol Johnston; Treasurer, Susan Leybourne; Secretary, Josie Campbell and Membership Wes Leybourne.
